Alicia Keys releases new double album, ‘Keys’

On Friday, December 10, Grammy-winning songwriter and performer Alicia Keys released her latest song collection, the double album, Keys.

The album is his last release since the LP 2020 Alicia, which came after the 2016 record, Right here. For Keys (née Alicia Augello Cook), the new record will likely portend more accolades and shows in 2022.

To celebrate the release, Keys released a new video for the song, “Old Memories,” which you can check out below.

The 40-year-old New York-born musician and celebrity shared the news on social media, writing on Instagram, “#KEYS. IS. HERE .

“I’m in Dubai about to put on the craziest show I have ever done! I can’t sleep because I’m crazy about jet lag and I am SO excited that you are hearing this music !!!!!! I give you all of me on it !!

“This album is going to put your head up high! I hope it becomes an instant classic for you! It will take you to such a special place. Find me in the ZONE! I need all of you! will you listen to it NOW !! ??

“A great love to all the creatives who were part of this magic !!! Tell me what you like the most about #KEYS !! “

Earlier this year, Keys revealed that this new record will be a double disc featuring two versions of each song.

The artist explained his decision for the different editions on his TikTok account. The A side of the record has been dubbed the “Original” version which features “relaxed piano vibes”. The B side, or the “Unlocked” version, guarantees “upbeat, drumming and higher vibes”.

“I describe it as a Saturday and a Sunday,” Keys said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “One [side], you rock on Saturday, and the one you rock on Sunday and that’s a beautiful thing. It’s an amazing experience.

“The originals come from this classic side of me! This is the AK we want !! Back to basics, “the singer explained on her Instagram.” The Unlocked side, I wanted to sample The Originals to create a whole different sound experience. So, [producer Mike WiLL Made-It] and I logged in and did some magic. Together they are a fusion of the worlds in me with #KEYS as the main ingredient.

To highlight the craftsmanship of the two versions, on October 28, Keys dropped two visualizers for “Best Of Me.”
