KUALA LUMPUR, August 25 – American singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin will perform at his first Malaysian concert at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) as part of his The (un)commented tour.

He will perform at LIVE 8, KLCC on November 30.

Best known for his 2017 hit I built a friend which was performed in a moving dance by 12-year-old Merrick Hanna on America has talent, the performance even moved Simon Cowell to tears and led to the song becoming the #1 YouTube video in late May 2017.

Prior to 2017, Benjamin played his music in parking lots outside concert halls, handing out cards to promote his music.

His 2018 mixtape, Told for youeventually made the singer famous with hits like let me down slowly and If we have each other.

The singer is known for his moving pop ballads about love, heartbreak and mental health, being a victim of anxiety himself.

A comment)his second studio album continues his deep introspection in the songs, with American songwriter the “striking” caller praising Benjamin’s wordplay, emotion and messages of hope.

The fan club presale begins Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., followed by the Live Nation presale on Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
