Bulgarian athletes talk about their performance at coach-recommended Azerbaijani squad

The coach recommended us to play on the Azerbaijani composition “Sen gelmez oldun” (You did not come) for the balance exercise, Bulgarian athletes Kalina Terziyska and Kristiyan Angelov, who participate in the competitions, told Trend Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships by age group in Baku.
“Our coach introduced the composition and recommended that we choose it. Of course, we liked it very much. We knew it was an Azerbaijani melody and hoped that our interpretation would make a good impression,” they noted.
The athletes expressed their admiration for the organization of the competitions in the national gymnastics arena.
“The organization is really wonderful. Every detail, such as accommodation, transport and other points, is well thought out. The animators have done everything to make us feel comfortable here, so that nothing distracts us training and performance,” added Terziyska and Angelov. .
Bulgarian athletes also emphasized that they warmly communicate with competitors from other countries.
“Despite the fact that we are all seen as rivals, we have become friends,” they concluded.
The 12th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions are taking place in the capital of Azerbaijan from March 3-6.
Some 438 gymnasts from 24 countries are taking part in the competitions, organized for the first time by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.
Women’s, mixed and men’s pairs, women’s and men’s groups in the 12-18 and 13-19 age categories compete in the program of balance, tempo and combined exercises.
Azerbaijan is represented by the male duo consisting of Rasul Seyidli and Ravan Zeynalli, the female duo – Nazrin Gasimova and Khanim Mammadzade, the mixed duo – Milana Aliyeva and Nizam Khamidulin, the female group – Anahita Bashiri, Zahra Rashidova, Nazrin Zeyniyeva aux competitions of the 12-18 age categories.
Moreover, Azerbaijan is represented by the women’s group consisting of Leyla Bashirova, Nazrin Farmanova and Mansuma Mammadzade in the 13-19 age categories.
The 12th FIG World Competitions in Acrobatic Gymnastics by Age Groups in Baku is being held under special permission of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers and in accordance with the rules of the quarantine regime in force in the country, sanitary and epidemiological requirements and without spectators.
