DEF LEPPARD Guitarist PHIL COLLEN Reveals Talks Are On To Bring The Stadium Tour Outside Of North America

In a new interview with Chile’s Radio Furo, Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen discussed the band’s new album, Diamond Star Halos, and touring plans to support the record. Check out the interview below.

Collen: “This year we are going to tour the United States with Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett, but the tour will last three years – at least three years – for the album. Next summer will definitely be the Europe, then South America, Australia, Japan – next year hopefully at some point we’ll be playing in all of those markets.”

Regarding the possibility of The Stadium Tour with the above acts hitting the aforementioned markets as well as North America, he revealed that this is under discussion.

Collen: “That’s what they’re talking about. I think Mötley Crüe signed up. So hopefully it all comes together, and Joan Jett and Poison. That would be amazing.”

After a two-year delay, Def Leppard is set to finally kick off their North American tour co-headlining with Mötley Crüe. A guest on QFM96’s Torg & Elliott radio show, Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott has revealed that the band and Mötley Crüe will alternate closing sets during the tour.

Elliott: “We take turns; 36 shows, so 18 each. Everything has been put together in a very scientific way. It’s the same way we did with Journey in 2018. Exactly the same principle.”

The stadium tour, featuring Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, along with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, will hit select cities across the United States and Canada where each band will perform their electrifying shows while promising to perform their anthems of the stadium size. Produced by Live Nation, the summer tour is set to tour North America beginning in June 2022.

Def Leppard is one of the most important forces in rock music. Joan Jett grew up in a time when rock ‘n’ roll was off limits to girls and women, but as a teenager she quickly stomped on the door of the boys’ club.
