Luke Combs keeps ticket prices low for fans – ‘I’m not going to rip you off’

Luke Combs cares about your wallet.

When the reigning country star and CMA Artist of the Year announced his 2022 tour, he told fans he would keep ticket prices the same as before the COVID-19 pandemic. Combs said he cared about those struggling to pay for concert tickets and wanted to help.

Combs said at the time, “I know the price of everything has gone up in the last two years. And I can’t do anything about it, but the only thing I can do is set the price of my tickets. So what I wanted to do was keep ticket prices the same as before the pandemic. These tickets will therefore be the same price as the last time you purchased tickets. »

Now that his Middle of Somewhere tour is set to kick off this summer, Combs said Billboard that he expects a loss of touring income from this decision but does not regret it at all.

The country singer said: “It’s going to cost me a lot, but all I wanted to do was make a living doing music. And I make enough money to not have to worry about anything and be really comfortable, so I never want to get greedy.

Combs explains that the most important part of the upcoming tour is playing in front of a large audience of fans who love him, his music and his band. So, keeping prices low and stable helps to achieve this.

The standout songwriter and performer said, “It’s more competitive than ever, so it’s double for me. I can say, ‘Hey fans, I love you. I’m not going to rip you off,” and it’s about a full house, it’s not about making money. I didn’t set out to be Jeff Bezos and be the richest guy in the world.

Combs’ tour begins in September and will see performances in arenas across the United States through December. Joining the series of dates will be Morgan Wade and Lainey Wilson.

On Friday (June 24), Combs released his latest LP, Growing up.
