Wide Open Music Publishing Announces Songwriters and Staff Additions


Wide Open Music Publishing Vice President / General Manager Victoria Goodvin is delighted to announce the addition of songwriters and staff, with Joe Haydel and Martin McDaniel joining the roster and Jessie Pitts named manager of catalog / creative assistant.

“We are adding three rock stars to our already amazing team,” said Goodvin. “Joe and Martin are both extremely hardworking and talented writers, artists and musicians. I met Martin on my very first internship, so it’s a full time to work together all these years later. can’t wait to watch both of their careers take off. “

“Jessie started as an intern in 2019 and has been an amazing addition to the team, so we’re excited to hire her full time,” adds Goodvin. “I love her passion for this industry and the fact that she’s not afraid to do whatever she wants.”

Hailing from Louisiana, Joe Haydel expands the soundscape of Nashville with an original style inspired by alternative rock from the late 90s and early 2000s. Haydel released his eponymous debut EP in 2019 which features heartfelt songs about his journey personal and landed his first outdoor cup, “Even Now” for Chase Bryant in April 2021.

After Martin McDaniel moved to Nashville from his hometown of Alabama in 2008 to pursue his music full-time, he began playing part-time in a local band at the Cadillac Ranch on Broadway. Soon he was playing on the Nashville circuit booking his own shows, co-writing and producing his own music. Martin landed a No. 1 spot for Alan Jackson in 2019 and his song “Loving Me Lonely” landed on Spotify’s “New Boots” playlist.

Jessie Pitts joins the Wide Open Music Publishing team as Catalog Manager / Creative Assistant. A native of Tennessee with over seven years of industry experience in the Los Angeles, Nashville and Atlanta markets, Jessie has cultivated a unique perspective of the music industry and will use her experience as an artist in her new role. Having debuted in 2015 as a top 12 finalist for NBC’s “The Voice,” coached by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Jessie describes her “behind-the-curtain peek” of the entertainment industry as a turning point. in which she now aims to provide her own artist experience and business acumen to help advise, develop and market other artists, having a particularly keen ear to find great songs. In 2019, she completed an internship at the Recording Academy, supervised by the South Regional Director, Susan Stewart. In 2020, she landed an internship at Wide Open Music Management under the direction of Ash Bowers. Jessie graduated with honors from Belmont University in 2021 and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in the music industry.

Wide Open Music Publishing’s list of songwriters includes: Chris Bandi, George Birge, Joe Haydel, Maddie Larkin, John Marlin, Martin McDaniel, and Tim Owens.
